Born March 29, 1847 in Nineveh, N.Y.; married Charles Edgar Fox in 1876. Her mastery of parliamentary procedure grew out of the need for better methods in women's organizations which were then growing into a force in the struggle for women's rights. She became an authority in the subject and her book, Parliamentary Usage for Women's Clubs, published in 1902 is still used by many organizations.
